If you have had your spleen removed, have a rare blood group or antibodies or any other medical condition which, in an emergency, doctors might need to know, you may already be wearing a necklace or bracelet carrying this sort of information. If not, both SOS Talisman and MedicAlert sell jewellery which gives this information.


SOS Talisman Jewllery

SOS Talisman Jewellery SOS Talisman sell both bracelets and pendants in chrome, stainless steel, silver and gold plated. You write the information on a strip of non-soluble paper that is contained inside the capsule. The strip is 12" long and can be written on on both sides.

Available from some chemists and jewellers, they can now be purchased over the internet through their website on www.sos-talisman.com.

MedicAlert Jewellery

A MedicAlert necklace or bracelet has brief details (which you supply) inscribed on it together with a phone number which a doctor may ring 24 hours a day to obtain further information stored on a computer. Prices vary according to whether the jewellery is in stainless steel, silver or gold.
